Thom West

Thom West has integrated his classical background with his training in gospel music and quickly became a highly sought after musician in the local music scene.  He has been an integral part of the jazz scene in Minnesota, performing solo as well as accompanying prominent local jazz vocalists including Roberta Davis, Dennis Spears, and Debbie Duncan. He has also played with national artists such as Sammy Davis, Jr. and Doc Severinson. Thom co-shared responsibility for the development, teaching and piano accompaniment for several high school gospel choirs in the Minneapolis Public Schools. He is also an accomplished recording artist.  He has been a musical director at SteppingStone Theater/Landmark Center. Thom's mentor is the Reverend Carl Walker, co-founder of Walker/West Music Academy in St. Paul.
